Living among the Dead!

1Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they,  and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. 2But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. 3Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. 5Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? (Luke 24:1-5)The first day of the week has begun, Sabbath is over with, and the women came to the tomb with spices for the body of Yashuah. The apostle tells us, “But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb.” (Vs 2) The resurrection has already begun, but they weren’t looking for a resurrected body, they were looking for a dead Jesus. So of course they enter the tomb, because the stone had been rolled away. These gals were thinking to themselves, this is just not right, the body is gone! And the apostle tells us, “And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments.” (Vs 4) The KJV says the angels appeared by them, but the Hebraic bible says they hovered over them. I think if this were the case chances are they would have immediately concluded that they were angels, which they did.The women responded appropriately, they got down on their faces, in the presence of angels. They were afraid! The angels asked the question of the century, they asked, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?(Vs 5) Isn’t this all of us, if we have a truly spiritual experience we freak out, most of us don’t have visions because we block them out of fear, they’re just not rational. But here‘s an incident where all of them experience this one. They expected a body, but got a visitation instead. They expected flesh, but got spirit instead. They expected the mundane, but got miracles instead. When we become part of the kingdom of God we are apt to have this kind of breakthrough at any moment, but only if we have the faith to accept it. Otherwise we too are seeking the living among the dead. It is up to us to look for angels, remember our dreams, and prepare ourselves for visions, and angelic visitations. We need to know that if we are not close to God, it is because of us, not Him. He reaches out to us constantly. A great and horrible price was paid to free us from the constraints of the flesh, but it is up to us to draw near to the kingdom. We are told, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” (James 4:8) Today’s Affirmation:Today, I am no longer flesh but Spirit, therefore what I see is of the Spirit, and what I experience is of the Spirit. Prayer:Father Yahweh, help me to distance myself from the flesh, and draw neared to you in the Spitit, Lord. Help me to be more aware of my life in You. Teach me, Lead me, in Your ways, and Your knowledge, quicken my dream life, cause me to have visions, and apparitions of Your messengers, and use me to bring the reality of Your Kingdom to others. In the Holy name of Jesus Christ, Yashuah the Messiah, I pray. AMEN!
